Hello, I am Sophie
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
Some years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn't part of the long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much bigger.
The initial months were demanding — new processes, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more challenging than anticipated.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Ulveri Mona
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance at a high level or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Switzerland.
